The Sun Makes All the Difference

So thankful we don't have to go through anything alone

Allen’s had the flu this week, so between doing things to take care of him, I’ve been hiding away here in the bedroom, reading in my rocker. I started getting a little chilly, so I checked the temperature on the thermometer that’s sitting on my little side table. It’s EXACTLY the same as it was a couple of hours ago, but it feels significantly colder! I realized the sun isn’t shining through the window anymore.

Kinda like when we go through difficult times in our lives; the same event just hits us differently when we go through it with God rather than without Him.

“For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sunlight affects how we perceive the temperature; God’s presence affects how we perceive our lives.

I'm so thankful that He is our Sun AND Shield!
